At Potentia, we show you the amount you are paying down to the last cent. We believe in honest pricing and no hidden costs.

Understanding Your Bill

With Potentia’s rate plans, your average rate is made up of 3 components:


1.	Potentia’s Energy Price: Total kWh consumed multiplied by your current rate with Potentia Energy. Your rate can be fixed or variable depending on your plan.


2.	Base Service Charge: Monthly service charge assessed by Potentia Energy for each billing period. It is not based on the customer’s demand or energy consumption & will remain fixed.


3.	TDSP Fees: Assessed by the TDSP for metering your consumption and maintaining service.

These three price components are common with most REPs, however, we lay it out for you so you can see exactly what you’re paying for and how much.

Calculating your Average Rate

The way we calculate your average rate is simple – grab a calculator and we’ll show you an example calculation based on the Potentia Power product:

On a fixed product, while Potentia’s energy price of 6.5 cents per kWh (as shown in the example above) will not change until the end of your contract, you will see your average rate vary because of your usage. The metering fees are passed through from your respective TDSPs (CenterPoint, Oncor, TNMP, AEP). Check out our Electricity Facts Label for your area to get more details on our rate.
